Celecoxib and other NSAIDs have been extensively studied in the past in the literature. In this regard, we will compare the safety and efficacy of these drugs with other NSAIDs and compare the long-term effects of NSAIDs on the gastrointestinal system.
It has been well-reported that the anti-inflammatory effects of NSAIDs are mediated via an inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes. The inhibition of COX is thought to be associated with the inhibition of cyclo-oxygenase (COX), which is responsible for producing prostaglandins (PG), which are involved in inflammation and pain.
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE contains Celecoxib which belongs to group of medicines called Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is used in adults to manage osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), rheumatoid arthritis (inflammatory disease of joints), ankylosing spondylitis (chronic back pain), acute pain and primary dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps).
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is also used to manage juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (in children aged 2 years and above).
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Celecoxib, sulfonamides, aspirin and/or other NSAIDs. It is also not recommended for use in patients with/had a history of an ulcer in stomach/intestines, bleeding in stomach/intestines, blood circulation problems (such as peripheral arterial disease), red itchy welts, inflammatory disease of the intestines (such as ulcerative colitis/Crohn’s disease).
The medicine is also not indicted for use in patients suffering from lung problems (such as asthma), heart diseases (such as heart failure, recent heart attack, heart block), severe liver disease (such as advanced hepatic insufficiency) and/or kidney disease (such as advanced renal insufficiency).

The Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday approved a new anti-cancer drug, a COX-2 inhibitor, in the United States, after an initial study showed a significant increase in cancer risk.
The drug, known generically as celecoxib, is the first to block the production of prostaglandins that cause inflammation. It is also used to treat the symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
The new drug will increase the effect of Cox-2 inhibitor Celebrex, an over-the-counter anti-cancer drug sold under the name Celebrex.
In a study of patients with the same condition, patients taking Cox-2 inhibitors had more breast cancer, compared to those who took an NSAID.
The study found that Cox-2 inhibitor Celebrex increased the risk of invasive cancer of the breast in patients taking the drug. But it also increased the risk of breast cancer in patients who took a non-selective COX-2 inhibitor.
The drug is not approved for the treatment of osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis, which are the most common types of arthritis. It is also used to treat pain associated with migraine headaches.
